“Play is often talked about as if it were a relief from serious learning. But for children, play is serious learning. Play is really the work of childhood.” - Fred Rogers

Helping your child feel safe, seen, and supported—through the power of play.

Children don’t always have the words to explain how they’re feeling—but their play tells us so much. Play therapy creates a safe, supportive space where your child can express emotions, work through challenges, and build skills for emotional regulation, all while feeling engaged and understood.

I use a combination of child-centered play therapy, sand tray therapy, and DIR/Floortime—a relationship-based approach that meets your child where they are developmentally and emotionally. By following your child’s lead and building connection through play, we support their growth from the inside out.

Common Reasons Parents Seek Play Therapy:

  • Emotional outbursts, anxiety, or sadness

  • Difficulty with transitions, school, or separation

  • Behavioral challenges at home or school

  • Trauma or big life changes (divorce, loss, move)

  • Struggles with peer relationships or social skills

  • Support for neurodivergent children (Autism, ADHD, sensory needs)

When your child is struggling, it affects the whole family.
Play therapy helps children express big feelings, improve behavior, and develop stronger coping skills. Along the way, parents gain insight and tools to strengthen their connection with their child and support their growth outside of the therapy room.

Sometimes words aren’t enough—and that’s okay.
Children who’ve experienced trauma or stress often struggle to talk about what they feel. Play therapy provides a gentle, nonverbal way for them to explore those experiences, build safety, and begin to heal at their own pace.

Hi, I'm Ollie! 🐾

I’m a little dachshund with a big heart! I’m a therapy dog, which means I get to spend time with kids like you during play therapy. I love belly rubs, treats, and being your buddy. If you ever feel sad, nervous, or just want a furry friend to sit with, I’m here to help. We can play, cuddle, or just hang out together. I can’t wait to meet you!
